Well people what been going on in my like since my last journal.

On Monday this week I had my nose cauterised, mainly because I always been plagued by nosebleeds, so I decided to do something about it. the procedure itself was simple, the doctor stuck some little rod things up my poor nose and burned away some blood vessels that were too close to the surface. No pain but after it my nose reacted and ran (like I had a cold) for bloody hours.

Well my birthday has come and gone, got some books of amazon and a nice little camera (it about the same size as a cash machine card, but a lot thicker). So I've no excuse for not taken pictures now I guess, hmm.


And to be honest that is about the most exciting things going on at the moment, so that really all at the moment.


So better let you all get back to what ever you were doing.

Well my first journal in a year, yes I know totally pathetic. But it was down to a very boring year and having the blue screen of death on the computer.

My life at the moment is really still quite boring, not written very much, don't know why just an overall lack of inspiration, though I have just posted two new short poems.

About the most exciting thing is that I've joined a role-playing/wargames club (it's the inner child in me) met some new people and generally having a laugh with them as we attempt to not mess up the over all game plot and stay alive.

But that's about it, will have to get the old passport sorted out, got the forms, the photo's, the money saved. So all I've got to do is get it filled out, signed and sent away. Hopefully save enough money for a holiday this year, as it's now been over five years since I was last off Shetland, how sad is that.

Anyway that's all for now folks and the next journal will be sooner than later.

Ok it been a couple of weeks since my last journal and one or two things has happened.

Firstly I've actually managed to finish a couple of poems (yea about bloody time). A couple of sad ones but sometimes that's how I feel.

On the health front I got an ECG (you all know the heart monitoring thingie) and much to the surprise of everyone they found a heart and not only that but a perfectly healthy one (total relief). So now I just got to lose some weight. The down side of the ECG was they shaved part of my chest. Yes you read that last piece correctly. I've got this L shaped bald patch on my chest (luckily it's starting to grow back now) looked and felt totally weird. Of course I had to show everyone much to their total disgust. They also shaved a couple of pieces on my wrists and ankles; this was to attach those sticker things so it didn't hurt when they ripped them off.

Well that's all the news I've got for the moment, more updates when they arrive.

Well as the title suggests it's been a while since my last journal and there been a little bit happening in my life.

Firstly it's official I've been confirmed a 'Fat B******D' by the doctor. At the beginning of December I got a letter from the district nurse that it was time for my blood pressure to be checked (we have a very pro-active set of doctors and their staff here). As I had the flu at the time and it was Christmas I only got around to making an appointment in January? However my little brother (yes the one that moved back up here) had been complaining of chest pains about the middle of December, we all thought he was allergic to his other half's horse, it's a Clydesdale so not so much of a horse but an extra from a cheep monster movie (yes it's that big). Well he went to the doctor and they ran several tests on him and it would seem he's had a very slight heart attack (hmm some people like to upstage others, lol, what a drama queen). So he got to change his lifestyle, now this has meant the people started to look at me as if to say "well if it's happened to Scott, how's Sean still alive" so no pressure on me then.

So off I went thinking it was routine and ok. Well the results I got were that I had high blood pressure, my body mass index classed me as obese, yea that came as a shock, my blood pressure was elevated, I'm only about 1.5 stone overweight and my cholesterol was borderline, but the good cholesterol was lower than the bad cholesterol, also they're going to do more tests on my glucose. So guess who has to alter their life style too. Hmm well I suppose it at my age it needs to happen unless I want to keel over. So I have to cut out things like (well reduce the intake) cheese and other things that are bad for me. Oh and I got to lose weight which might solve a lot of the issues I have.

The boxing circuit training has started up again and I've started to get my now confirmed fat butt back down our village hall to do some more regular exercise so hopefully in a few months I'll once again look like Brad Pitt with glasses. Well I think I do if no one else does.


On other news, have finished another poem and will post it soon and added a few lines here and there to ones that are still work in progress so hopefully blank phase over.


So I'll go now and let you guys have a good laugh at my situation, don't worry I've been using this as a source of amusement myself.
